Group of demonstrators break through the police lines on Rustaveli Avenue

Participants of the protest against the May 17 demonstration in Tbilisi for marking the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia broke through the police lines separating the two demonstrations and moved towards Freedom Square, the place of gathering of the LGBT rights demonstration. Police and participants of the advancing group were involved in clashes, while those in the LGBT rights gathering left the area.
