Akhalaia said during the court process that he had spent four months in detention for “no justified reason whatsoever” and explained why the defense team refused to be prosecuted under a sworn court jury by saying if the prosecution was going to keep releasing testimonies like those of Gaga Mkurnalidze, there could be “no talk of a sworn jury.”
