Four Detained in Village Mereti Sentence to 10 Days in Prison

Gori regional court sentenced the four detainees from the incident in village Mereti, Gori to 10 days of administrative imprisonment.
As a correspondent of InterPressNews informs, two out of the four detainees were activists of Georgian Dream – Davit Bzishvili and Aleksi Kikolashvili; Lasha Chighaldze and Alekandre Odishvili were activist of National Movements, as the local office of Georgian Dream coalition says.
Heads of the Gori office of Georgian Dream will file against the decision of the judge today.
Representative of Georgian Dream Lekso Valiauri says that the video presented in the court room as evidence didn’t confirm that Bzishvili and Kikolashvili were guilty, so they consider that the judge didn’t have to sentence administrative imprisonment to these two individuals.
Skirmish followed the visit of Bidzina Ivanishvili in village Mereti yesterday. Some people were injured.
